I just love the holidays!

We greatly anticipate tomorrow morning - spending time together as a family around the Christmas tree. I enjoy thinking about the new traditions we will create now, as a family, as the girls grow up and start to understand more about Christmas. I love to hear about other people's traditions - so if you have some fun ones, send them my way! I was thinking that starting this year, since Maddie is so into books, it would be fun to read a picture book of the Christmas story - as I truly want her to know and understand the real reason we celebrate. I also dream of the day that I can share my favorite tradition that I had as a child, sleeping by the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve night, with my girls! My sister Kelly and I always enjoyed doing that. I have many special memories of waking up next to the tree on Christmas and waiting for my parents to come out of their room so we could open gifts and spend time together. My greatest memories of Christmas were never of gifts I was given but only the special times spent together with my family. And that is what I hope my children will always hold close to their hearts too as they grow up!

The Hall family wishes you all a very blessed Christmas spent with family and friends. We joyously rejoice at the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Merry Christmas!

Baking with Grandmas

We had a fun time baking cut-out cookies with Grandma Pam and Great-Grandma Sally last week. I cherish the times I got to make cookies with Grandma Sally as a child and I know Maddie had a blast as well. Here are some photos of our time!

And then I just can't resist posting this new video of Maddie dancing - she just LOVES to dance, just like her daddy and mommy. :)

New Photos

Just wanted to put up a few new photos from Halloween and Maddie's 2-year old pictures taken at Sears. It's her big 2-year old birthday party on Saturday. Crazy how fast time flies. She continues to be such a joy to us and a great big sister. Norah has become quite the happy little one too. She has found her screaming voice - and can be heard all through the house, squealing away with delight. Brandon thinks she is going to be a ham, and I am beginning to see it too! I look forward to watching my girls interact more together. Right now, Norah loves to watch Maddie move about. Maddie really makes Norah smile. I was so blessed to have a sister and close friend - makes me so happy that my girls will have that with each other as well. Here are the photos!

Wonderful Fall Fun with Family

We had a great time last weekend. We hadn't traveled really anywhere since Norah was born, so I was definitely ready for a get-away. We met Kelly and Brian at a hotel in Bloomington, where we just spent one night, catching up and laughing lots. I sure do miss those two! But when we do get together, we always have a blast. I cherish those times. On Sunday, we went to an apple orchard in Hastings. It was so fun and the apples were so tasty! There was so much for Maddie to do there, we probably could have spent all day there! Anyways, here are some photos - happy fall!

Norah is 3 Months

It's crazy how time flies! Norah is already 3 months old. She is becoming a more content child and much more happy - thank God!! The first few months here have been interesting, to say the least. Here are some photos of her at 3 months.

Maddie continues to grow up more and more before my very eyes! Here is some more video of her: reading to elmo and dancing to Sandstorm. :)

Some new pictures...

Still having a hard time getting to the computer to update photos, as some of you have been asking for. :) I am doing this at midnight...if that tells you anything. I also drank caffinated coffee at a wedding we went to this evening, so I am having some trouble getting to sleep. Not a good idea! Especially when my two little girls don't exactly let me sleep in!!

Norah turned 2 months this past weekend! Time sure does fly. Maddie and I enjoyed some mommy/Maddie time on Saturday night. Her and I don't get to do much alone these days - and she doesn't get nearly as much attention from me as she once did, so we had a special time together. She is growing up so fast - it is hard to see my little baby changing so much each day. I could tell she got a kick out of being with just me, hanging out in Bayfront park for a dance festival. Norah is doing well and continuing to grow lots too. I am definitely starting to get into the groove of having two. Life has not been nearly as overwhelming, and I am finding ways to keep my sanity each day. I have been able to get out more with both of them - doing our usual playdates and errands during the week days. I need to get out and be with other adults, or I start to go a little stir crazy. :)

Here are a few new pictures for you all to enjoy! I'll keep them coming!

Norah is Growing like a Weed!

I brought Norah into the doctor last week and she already weighs almost what Maddie weighed at 4 months old! :) She is growing like crazy - and is VERY healthy. I haven't had much time to update our blog lately, but I just wanted to post a few photos of Norah and Maddie - things are going well over here. We are having a great summer!

Some pictures

Here are a few new pictures of little Norah and sister, Maddie. Life is good - even though rest is little and things are a bit overwhelming, trying to manage two children under two. Looking at our little family today, I was overcome with so much happiness. I am so thankful for all God has given me.

A quick update - Norah had a doctor's appt. yesterday and she already weights 10 lbs. and has grown about and inch and a half! She is growing like a weed - a very good eater and healthy. We can be thankful for that as well. :)
